Tony Khan has announced a massive title bout scheduled for AEW Full Gear 2024. The belt in contention is the International Championship, currently held by Konosuke Takeshita.
The Alpha won the title by pinning former champion Will Ospreay in a Three-Way match also involving Ricochet last month at WrestleDream 2024. The Future of Flight had previously tried to capture the belt from The Aerial Assassin on the Fifth Anniversary episode of Dynamite, but the match had ended in a no-contest due to interference from Takeshita.
Since then, Ricochet has been in pursuit of the Japanese phenomenon and even scored a pinfall victory over the latter during a tag team match earlier in November. With just around a day left before Full Gear, All Elite CEO Tony Khan took to X/Twitter to reveal that The One and Only will take on Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship at the pay-per-view this Saturday.

In another tweet on the same thread, Khan added:
"You can see highlights from the exciting Takeshita vs Ricochet rivalry, + the background for all of the major rivalries set to explode this Saturday at #[All Elite Wrestling]FullGear ppv in the updated nearly 9 minute AEW November Rain music video set for Friday Night #[All Elite Wrestling]Rampage on TNT TOMORROW!"
It remains to be seen if Ricochet can win his first All Elite Wrestling championship at Full Gear.
