Adam Cole has had an unfortunate tenure in AEW thus far, and it doesn't seem like he's set to make a comeback immediately. All Elite Wrestling President, Tony Khan, recently gave an update on the 34-year-old.
Cole injured his foot late last year, throwing a major wrench in the plans for his storyline with MJF. Despite that, AEW still pulled off a big betrayal at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December, with Cole revealing himself as The Devil and the leader of a new faction, The Undisputed Kingdom.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman returned at Double or Nothing in May and laid out his former best friend. While many fans expected them to resume their feud, it seems to have been put on hold as Adam Cole recovers. He hasn't been seen since the pay-per-view.
AEW President, Tony Khan, addressed Cole's status in a recent appearance on Wrestling Observer Radio. The All Elite Chief admitted that he couldn't share the timetable for Adam's recovery but claimed that he's excited to get the former WWE Superstar back in the fold.

"I can't wait until Adam Cole can come back," Khan said. "I can't give you the exact time table, but he will be back. And I'm looking forward to it. It'll be great to have Adam Cole back in the ring. He is recovering, and I can't wait to have him back." [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
Adam Cole's girlfriend, Dr. Britt Baker, returned to AEW at Forbidden Door 2024
Cole could be out of action for a while longer, but Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, finally made her return to AEW at last night's Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
The Doctor had been out of action since September 2023 but managed to shock the fans at UBS Arena in Long Island. She made her surprise entrance just after Mercedes Mone defeated Stephanie Vaquer to defend her TBS Championship and win the NJPW Strong Women's title.
The two had a staredown, and Baker later said that she'd address the fans this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. Whether The Doctor intends to go after Mercedes Mone's TBS Championship remains to be seen.
