AEW pulled off one of its most viral moments ever in late April as Tony Khan participated in his first physical in-ring angle. The All Elite Wrestling boss was attacked by The Elite, and now he's provided a major update on his in-ring future.
The AEW President, CEO, General Manager, Head Of Creative & Executive Producer once indicated he'd never step into the ring to get physical. However, the 41-year-old booked an attack by The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry to help establish The New Elite as top heels in the company. The segment saw Khan take the Meltzer Driver finisher from his EVPs.
Khan recently spoke with Bleacher Report and stressed how dangerous the spike piledriver was. The ROH owner said he would never be eager to take the move again, indicating that we might not see him wrestle a match as it had been rumored.
"I don't think anybody in pro wrestling wants to be spike piledrived ever. It's one of the most dangerous, deadly moves in pro wrestling. It's banned in multiple pro wrestling promotions and it's illegal in several states, and there's a reason. I don't recommend it to anybody nor would I ever be eager to take another spike piledriver again. Only the most trained professional wrestlers can sustain that kind of beating, especially multiple times," Tony Khan said.

Khan's actions following the Dynamite angle seemingly made more headlines than the actual physical bump he took. The son of a billionaire wore a neck brace at several public events after Dynamite, including the NFL Draft, where he made awkward comments about WWE.
