WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes Tony Khan is not interested in a major AEW storyline involving Thunder Rosa. He added that the President of the Jacksonville-based promotion should've invested more time and effort into the story as it had the potential to grow.

La Mera Mera challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Championship in a Tijuana Street Fight at Worlds End, but could not get the job done. The bout was dedicated to Rosa's father who is undergoing certain health complications.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray stated that Tony Khan should've given a strong push to the Thunder Rosa-Mariah May rivalry storyline. The angle of Rosa's sick father would've been very popular among the fans as it has an emotional aspect, and there was a great opportunity to get them invested.

"Tony Khan doesn't care about that story. If you're gonna use the dad and the dad's sickness as a part of the storyline, yes– you should be telling that on your dominant show of 'Dynamite.' That is a story we can all relate to: a sick family member. [...] And it's very easy to tell that story," Ray said.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

The WWE Hall of Famer added that AEW should've booked May to attack Rosa's ailing father during the match at Worlds End to draw more heat from the fans.

"Use the dad for the finish. When Thunder Rosa is beating the ever-leaving daylights out of Mariah May. [...] That's when Mariah May takes a kendo stick, jumps over the guardrail, holds Thunder Rosa's dad hostage. [...] Puts Thunder's dad in a very precarious situation that Thunder has to say 'I quit.' That's how you utilize that story," Ray added. [H/T: WrestlingInc]

Tommy Dreamer believes Toni Storm's return to AEW stole the limelight from Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa and Mariah May's rivalry gained traction in the past few weeks.

La Mera Mera also got a lot of spotlight due to her feud with The Glamour. But, wrestling legend Tommy Dreamer believes that Toni Storm's return may have rained on the 38-year-old's parade.

"[I] kind of feel bad for our very own Thunder Rosa because I thought Thunder Rosa was kind of maybe setting up in that top spot. Who knows? But yes, good to see Toni Storm," Dreamer said on Busted Open.

The former Women's World Champion made her surprise return at Dynamite: Winter is Coming after nearly four months of hiatus.
