Ahead of this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, which airs tomorrow night, Tony Khan has made a major announcement about an upcoming event. This would be regarding the Owen Hart Cup Tournament.
At Double or Nothing more than three weeks ago, TK, alongside Martha Hart, announced that this year's edition of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament would be taking place soon, with the finals taking place on July 10 in Calgary. However, the stakes are higher this time, as the men's and women's contest winners will earn themselves a world title shot at All In in Wembley Stadium.
Earlier tonight, Tony Khan revealed that the tournament would officially begin during Dynamite this week. He announced that the bracket for both divisions would be revealed tomorrow, but the tournament opener will feature Claudio Castagnoli and PAC facing off.
"Don't miss the bracket reveals for the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Men's + Women's Tournaments TOMORROW, ahead of @owen_foundation Cup action kicking off with a huge bout to open The Owen in an amazing matchup @ClaudioCSRO vs @B****RDPAC LIVE on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TOMORROW," Khan tweeted.

A major AEW star looks to be a favorite in the tournament
Several stars have already announced they are entering the Owen Hart Cup Tournament, but in the men's bracket, all eyes are on Bryan Danielson.
Two weeks ago on Dynamite, The American Dragon reflected on his career's recent progress. He talked about his losses during the AEW Continental Classic, the Anarchy in the Arena match against The Elite, his challenge to Christian Cage for the TNT Championship, and his loss to Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 18.
Despite some disappointing losses, he looked forward to the remainder of his full-time career and entered himself in the Owen Hart Tournament.
It seems that Danielson is looking to aim for the world title one final time before his retirement. Now, it remains to be seen whether Bryan Danielson will succeed or another top star will thwart his plans again.
