The AEW President, Tony Khan made a huge announcement regarding the former TNT Champion, Darby Allin after he made his blockbuster return on Dynamite. Darby had been out of action since the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
On the 250th episode of Dynamite this week, Darby Allin made his triumphant return through the rafters during a brawl between Team AEW and The Elite. After the main event match between the All Elite world champion, Swerve Strickland, and the Continental champion, Kazuchika Okada, a huge brawl broke out between The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and The Acclaimed & Mark Briscoe.
This was Darby's first appearance after the 'Anarchy in the Arena' at Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Darby is not here to just hang around it seems, as he is already set for a big match. The AEW President, Tony Khan took to the 'X' social media platform to announce Darby's match against Mexican wrestling legend, "The Beast Mortos."
"@DarbyAllin vs @Taurusoriginal Ahead of Wednesday's #AEWBloodAndGuts, fan favorite Darby Allin collides vs the dangerous Beast Mortos, LIVE in Texas on @TNTDrama, THIS SATURDAY!" Khan wrote.

The Beast Mortos last wrestled in an AEW ring in April 2024 on an episode of Collision where he was defeated by Rey Fenix. It will be interesting to how the Mexican legend fares against Darby inside the squared circle this Saturday.

This year's Blood and Guts match is set to take place next week on Dynamite. Meanwhile, Darby seemingly joined Swerve Strickland, The Acclaimed, and Mark Briscoe for next week's gimmick match against Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry, and Hangman Page after his return this week on Dynamite.
Moreover, Blood and Guts seems stacked for this year after Darby's addition. It remains to be seen what transpires next week inside the cage.
