AEW President Tony Khan has made a huge announcement for Worlds End 2024. The show is set to air on December 28.
Mariah May has been on a roll ever since becoming the Women’s Champion as she has been dispatching opponent after opponent. Just this week on Dynamite, she successfully defended her title against her former best friend Mina Shirakawa.
May is now embroiled in a feud with Thunder Rosa and Tony Khan has taken to X/Twitter to announce that May will defend her title against the Mexican in a Tijuana Street Fight.
“Saturday, 12/28 Orlando, FL #AEWWorldsEnd ppv AEW Women’s World Title Tijuana Street Fight @MariahMayx vs @thunderrosa22. After daring her challenger to name when + where Mariah May will defend the World Title vs former champ Thunder Rosa in a Tijuana Street Fight at Worlds End!”

Mariah May calls herself the best wrestler in AEW
Mariah May is a very talented wrestler and her being women’s champion is proof of that. The star has been on a rampage and has also dominated many of her opponents.
In a recent interview with Renee Paquette, she labeled herself as the best and shut down all her doubters. Speaking on a recent episode of Close Up with Renee Paquette, May said that she was more entertaining than half of the men's locker room.
“The best. I’m more entertaining than half of the men in that locker room. I deserve the TV time, and what I’m doing to do is what I’ve always done and keep showing up every single week as the Women’s World Champion, in my rookie year, by the way, and keep being the biggest star in this company. I don’t have to be paid the most. I don’t have to be given the most. I am the best, and I prove it, week in, week out."
It remains to be seen whether she will overcome Thunder Rosa at Worlds End.
