Jon Moxley has a lot on his plate at the moment. The reigning AEW World Champion is set to defend his title against Powerhouse Hobbs on this week's Dynamite: Maximum Carnage. After that, he'll have to face a star-studded alliance, and he's being forced to accept Chris Jericho's help.
Moxley and his Death Riders have been fighting off RatedFTR ever since Adam Copeland's return at Worlds End. Cope and FTR are also in a heated rivalry with Chris Jericho's Learning Tree. Joining this tangled web are Hobbs and new fan favorites The Outrunners.
Tony Khan took to X (fka Twitter) today to announce a massive 12-Man Tag Team Match for this week's Collision. Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta will team up with The Learning Tree's Jericho, Bryan Keith, and Big Bill to face Cope, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd, and Powerhouse Hobbs.
Check out Khan's tweet below:
"This Saturday, Jan 18 8pm ET/7pm CT on TNT + Max Saturday #AEWCollision @JonMoxley/@WheelerYuta/@ClaudioCSRO + @IAmJericho/@TheCaZXL/@bountykeith vs @TrueWillieHobbs/@TruthMagnum/@turbofloyd_/@DaxFTR/@CashWheelerFTR/@RatedRCope Maximum Carnage Comes To Collision THIS SATURDAY!"
Powerhouse Hobbs promises to humble Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite
Powerhouse Hobbs shocked the world last week when he won the Casino Gauntlet Match and earned a shot at Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. Unfortunately, Hobbs will be facing Mox in the latter's hometown of Cincinnati.
That fact hasn't deterred the Powerhouse, and the 33-year-old cut a blistering promo on the most recent episode of AEW Collision in which he recalled being shot, stabbed, and left for dead. Hobbs claimed that there was nothing Mox could do to stop him from taking the title:
"There is nothing you can actually do to me. So this Wednesday, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mox, I am going to make you my b**ch."
In the past, Jon Moxley has been the most dangerous when backed into a corner. Whether Powerhouse Hobbs can walk away with the gold in Moxley's hometown remains to be seen.
