Tony Khan makes a huge announcement on Mercedes Mone during AEW WrestleDream 2024

AEW President Tony Khan made an announcement involving TBS Champion Mercedes Mone during the 2024 WrestleDream pay-per-view. The announcement came after Mone's backstage confrontation with a popular star.

At the 2024 AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, Mercedes Mone appeared backstage during Zero Hour despite not being scheduled for a match. Mone bumped into Queen Aminata while walking backstage. The two ultimately had an argument about The CEO's championships.

Following their confrontation, Tony Khan made an announcement regarding the immediate future of Mercedes Mone. On X/Twitter, Khan revealed that Mone will defend her TBS Title against Queen Aminata on the upcoming edition of Dynamite in San Jose, California.

"This Wednesday, 10/16 San Jose, CA Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TBS, 8pm ET/7pm CT @TBSNetwork Title Match TBS Champion @MercedesVarnado vs Queen @amisylle After an altercation tonight before #AEWWrestleDream, Queen Aminata fights Mercedes Moné for the TBS Title this WEDNESDAY!"

Last Wednesday, Mone successfully defended her TBS Title by defeating Emi Sakura in a 10-minute match. It remains to be seen whether Queen Aminata manages to capture the gold from The CEO on Dynamite.
