AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has made a huge announcement regarding Dynamite: Beach Break on Wednesday. The message is related to a star's big win at the recently concluded Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) defended her TBS Title and challenged NJPW Strong Women's Champion Stephanie Vaquer for the latter's gold. It turned out to be an amazing match, and Mone ultimately became a double champion, defeating Vaquer.
Mone registered her second pay-per-view victory on June 30 after making her AEW in-ring debut at Double or Nothing 2024. Following her win, The CEO was greeted by a returning Britt Baker. However, Baker didn't interact with the former WWE star on the show.
On X/Twitter, Tony Khan recently announced that Mercedes Mone will be celebrating her victory on Dynamite: Beach Break in Chicago on Wednesday.
