Tony Khan never shies away from signing major names who have worked for WWE to AEW's roster. According to Vince Russo, Natalya can be a great asset to All Elite Wrestling's women's division.
Former Women's Champion Natalya's contract with WWE is reportedly set to expire soon, and the promotion has yet to make her another offer. Meanwhile, she recently removed mentions of WWE from her social media accounts, hinting at her potential departure from the global juggernaut.
Many believe that the prospect of competing in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament might attract Natalya to All Elite Wrestling. For those unaware, the 42-year-old is related to the late great Owen Hart.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, hosted by Dr. Chris Featherstone, Vince Russo advised Tony Khan to hand over the AEW women's division to Natalya if she chose to sign with the company following her potential WWE exit.
"If I'm Tony Khan, Natalya is a thing if I'm putting her in charge of the women's division. Because, first of all, you ain't gonna mess with her, she'll beat you up, she'll hurt you and you know, bro, she's got legacy. She's been doing it for a long time. If I were Tony [Khan], I would put that entire women's division in her hands, bro." [00:40 - 1:10]
Vince Russo doesn't think Natalya would be able to juggle two roles in AEW
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the former WWE head writer Vince Russo said Natalya didn't need to perform inside the ring to help AEW's women's division. He further noted that the former Women's Champion should focus on one shtick if she joined the Jacksonville-based promotion.
"She can't be working too. I mean if she still wants to work, you gotta do one or the other." [1:10 - 1:19]
Natalya's status with WWE is currently unknown amid rumors of her contract nearing its conclusion. It will be interesting to see whether The Queen of Harts heads to AEW in the future.
