AEW President Tony Khan recently announced a huge matchup following tonight's Dynamite. He advertised a blockbuster one-on-one contest for next week in a special edition of Fright Night Dynamite. The show is loaded with huge matches, and fans might also witness some debuts.
Adam Cole returned at WrestleDream from a career-threatening injury and has been after his arch-nemesis MJF. However, the latter hasn't confronted the 2022 Owen Hart Cup winner since the pay-per-view. In consecutive episodes of Dynamite, Maxwell wasn't present in the arena and communicated via screen.
While Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett, and Matt Taven were in the ring, MJF laid out a massive challenge as both Adam and Roderick were eager to put their hands on the former AEW World Champion. He declared that the first star to score three victories between the duo will have a match against Friedman.
Later, House of Black returned to Dynamite after several months and defeated the trio of enhancement talents. Following the contest, Buddy Matthews called out Cole for a contest. The duo even confronted moments later, and the former called the latter 'fragile.'
Tony Khan took to X/Twitter to make the match official and announced that the duo would square off in a massive contest on Fright Night Dynamite.
"Next Wednesday, 10/30, Cleveland, OH, Fright Night #AEWDynamite, TBS, 8pm ET/7pm CT, @AdamColePro vs @SNM_Buddy, After the challenge was made tonight on @TBSNetwork , Adam Cole will return to the ring vs Buddy Matthews for the first time EVER next Wednesday at Fright Night Dynamite!"
It will be interesting to see if the returning Adam Cole will emerge victorious next week.
