Tony Khan officially announces former AEW champion's return on Dynamite following Forbidden Door III

One of the highlights of AEW Forbidden Door III was the much-anticipated return of former AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker. The 33-year-old has been out of action since September 2023.

Shortly after her return, AEW President Tony Khan shared an update on Twitter (X), where he welcomed her back with a heartwarming post. He also revealed that Britt Baker would be present at the upcoming edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite.

Britt Baker returned after the battle between AEW's Mercedes Moné and NJPW's Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All Match at Forbidden Door concluded. Following a grueling back-and-forth encounter, Moné triumphed and became a dual champion (AEW TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion). After her victory, Baker returned to tease a future showdown with the erstwhile Sasha Banks.

"Welcome back to AEW, Dr. @RealBrittBaker DMD, tonight at #AEWForbiddenDoor! See you Wednesday in Chicago on TBS at #AEWDynamite!" he wrote.

Mercedes Moné accuses Britt Baker of stealing her spotlight at the post-AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum

In the post-Forbidden Door media scrum, Moné called Baker a b**ch and accused the latter of stealing her spotlight following her victory over Stephanie Vaquer.

However, the former WWE Superstar asserted she was least bothered by the former AEW Women's World Champion's return. Mone also sent a warning to Britt Baker, claiming that the latter would have to pay a price for interrupting her.

"Well, I know a certain b**ch wanted to come out and decided to steal my spotlight, right? But that’s not going to happen because I’m going to party all night long and show her that I am Mercedes Mone for a reason. And there’s a price to pay when you interrupt me. Tonight was about me and my celebration," she said.

It will be interesting to see if Mercedes Mone and Britt Baker confront each other in the upcoming episode of Dynamite.
