Tony Khan recently secured a massive new television contract for AEW, and he's now focused on what he can do to keep things fresh as Dynamite and Collison prepare for MAX integration. He recently addressed a potential new gimmick match involving one of his favorite movies: Timecop.
Tony Khan's love of Timecop is well known. The AEW President often references the 1994 sci-fi thriller at his promotion's live shows in an attempt to keep fans hyped during the transition from Dynamite to Rampage tapings.
AEW has found success with its Casino Gauntlet battle royal and Continental Classic tournament in the past year. In a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Tony Khan was asked if there was any chance of integrating Timecop into a match. The All Elite Chief was receptive to the idea:
"I would love to do that," said Khan. "That's definitely in our future. We've definitely revitalized the popularity of a classic film. Timecop is not just a cult classic, it's also the biggest commercial success of Jean-Claude Van Damme's career. The only $100 million movie Jean-Claude Van Damme ever did, and for good reason. It's an excellent film and it applies sometimes to the world of wrestling when most of the shows are live, but sometimes you tape them, and you're in two places at once." [H/T Fightful]

Tony Khan reveals early numbers for AEW All In 2025
This has been a critical year for All Elite Wrestling, with the company having secured a major new contract with Warner Bros. Discovery. Tony Khan has also announced that multiple major events will take place outside the United States in 2025. However, All In won't be one of them.
For the past two years, All In has been hosted in Wembley Stadium. Next year, the event will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, making it the first non-WWE US stadium show since the days of WCW.
In his appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Khan expressed excitement for All In 2025 and revealed that the show had already brought in more than a million dollars in ticket sales:
"All In, the big stadium show, the first time anybody in America since the 90s’, has attempted to do a stadium show in America, any other wrestling company, any alternative wrestling company, has tried this. It hasn’t been tried in a long time, I think since WCW ran the Georgia Dome, I believe. I think it’s gonna be a great success for us. We already sold over a million dollars in tickets for All In."
AEW All In has become the young promotion's biggest annual event, and next year's edition will almost certainly be stacked with exciting matches and segments. Whether the company can fill Globe Life Field remains to be seen.
