Matt Hardy recently talked about a multi-time WWE Champion's recent major win and how it ended up being an unexpected but interesting result. This would be Bryan Danielson on AEW.

Last week on Dynamite, The American Dragon overcame the odds to pin Hangman Adam Page to win the Owen Hart Foundation tournament and book himself a world title match at All In against Swerve Strickland. This opportunity comes as Danielson enters the latter parts of his career as a full-time wrestler.

On the latest edition of Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the WWE veteran talked about how he thought Hangman would win the tournament to continue his rivalry with Swerve. Ultimately, he liked the unpredictable result of the four-time WWE Champion.

“That was a match which, I would have guessed initially going in that they were going to do Hangman-Swerve again at All In. But I thought it was very cool that Bryan Danielson won. I was all about that. I thought that felt kind of unpredictable. And you know, it’s cool. I loved it because from a storytelling aspect, Hangman has been so good these couple weeks that he’s been back. And the fact that he is so angry and so furious. He’s just apoplectic in life, right? In every single thing, and especially he is obsessed over Swerve and this championship..."

He then talked about how something could still happen between the three before All In, but he liked the unpredictability of it all.

"So it’s interesting, and I know you just said you can see something where he ends up being in that match. And I could see that working as well," Hardy noted. "But I did think Bryan Danielson winning was a good call and something that felt unpredictable. And I think predictability is always good.” [H/T 411Mania]

A former WWE Superstar could achieve a major feat at All In

Now that Bryan Danielson is guaranteed a spot on the All In match card for this year, it'll be his first time to compete in Wembley Stadium after he missed last year's show due to injury.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Danielson has the chance to join the elite company as one of the only wrestlers who have competed in matches at Wembley Stadium, Tokyo Dome, Madison Square Garden, and Arena Mexico. Interestingly, Bryan has done this with four different companies' shows: WWE, AEW, NJPW, and CMLL.

Apart from this massive feat, Bryan has a chance to capture the AEW World Championship for the first time and become a world champion in ROH, WWE, and AEW before his time as a full-time wrestler ends.
