Tony Khan recently discussed a personal honor he received to end this eventful year. He addressed this and many future projects for AEW ahead of tonight's episode of Dynamite.
Variety magazine gave Khan a distinction and included him as part of the Dealmakers 2024 list. The article also spoke about AEW's growth and the new media rights deal the company secured. Among those included as well were several key names from WWE/TKO, including Ariel Emanuel, Nick Khan, Mark Shapiro, and Andrew Schleimer.
On X/Twitter, Tony Khan reacted to this and thanked Variety for including him in the list. He then briefly spoke about the MAX simulcast beginning on January 1st and how this was a historical milestone for them. He also urged fans to tune into tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite airing on TBS.
"Thank you @Variety for putting me on the Dealmakers 2024 list! We’re excited for AEW making history in 2025 starting Jan. 1 as @AEWonTV simulcasts weekly on TBS/TNT + @StreamOnMax! Join us minutes from NOW on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite on TBS tonight!" Khan wrote.

Tony Khan says a new era will come after AEW Worlds End
On December 28, the last of AEW's 2024 pay-per-view events will take place, this being Worlds End. The promotion has found great success with its PPV events this year, and it will be closing with what looks to be another one to look forward to.
During the media call for ROH Final Battle happening this Friday, Tony Khan mentioned how once Worlds End finishes, the promotion will be entering a new era. This will begin with the MAX simulcast in January.
It is still unclear how things will go for the company moving forward, seeing as it has also hit some rough patches in terms of viewership and ratings. But 2025 may be a bounce-back year, with a simulcast and media rights deal coming into effect.
