A top AEW duo accidentally helped The Young Bucks retain their World Tag Team titles on the latest episode of Dynamite. This was such an uncanny way for the match to end.
The duo in question are none other than Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR. The Bucks put their tag team titles on the line against The Acclaimed. This was surprising in itself because All In pay-per-view is just a week away, and it was risky for them to put their titles on the line.
The match was chaotic from the get-go and had many shenanigans, which was expected given that The Young Bucks were involved. Referee Rick Knox was accidentally taken out by Max Caster, which allowed Matthew Jackson to hit Caster with a low blow. As they were about to hit him with the titles, FTR came out to stop them.
Jackson, to his credit, turned the tables on FTR and spat on them, thereby prompting Dax Harwood to attack him. That led to the match being disqualified, and the AEW EVPs successfully retained against all odds.
It will be interesting to see what will come of this happening now that All In at Wembley Stadium is right around the corner.
