AEW routinely signs former WWE wrestlers. CM Punk, Ric Flair, and Adam Copeland were earlier with WWE and signed with Tony Khan's company. WWE also signed Jade Cargill, who shockingly left the Jacksonville-based company.

After Konosuke Takeshita expressed his disappointment with the Jacksonville-based organization, some fans pointed him to WWE and NXT.

"Takeshita would FLOURISH in WWE. I hope he gets out sooner than later. Tony hates athletes that look athletic. He wants athletes that look like your local grocery store clerk. It’s shameful, " one fan surmised.
"Bro WWE doesn’t have their big male Japanese talent that can represent the company worldwide. Nakamura is past his prime and with the girls they already set with Iyo and Giulia which is on the way, Takeshita is young and should consider making the move before it’s too late," posted another.
"Shawn Michaels, please get this man out of obscurity. Take would cook in NXT," one fan quipped.

Some fans thought the same and commented on Takeshita joining WWE.

"Cyberfight starting a relationship with wwe + Takeshita talking about not being satisfied with his booking= #fear," read another post.
"If AEW lose Takeshita they have no one to blame but themselves," one fan posted.
"Say what you will about Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE run, but he’s had more highs in that company, than Takeshita has in AEW!" one more post said.

Fans question why Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Double or Nothing is not a title match

Konosuke Takeshita and Jon Moxley are set to face each other at Double or Nothing. What has puzzled fans, however, is why the match between the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and the Japanese wrestler isn't a title match and only a title contender one. They made their dislike for the booking visible online.

Takeshita has appeared on AEW programming since 2021. His last match was as a member of the Don Callis Family against members of the BCC Club, which the former lost.

It remains to be seen if WWE will show any interest in the Japanese wrestler, or if the Jacksonville-based company will take heed of Takeshita's concerns.
