AEW has dealt with a slew of injuries this year, but the promotion recently got a former TNT Champion back. Following his shocking return to action, 'Powerhouse' Will Hobbs has opened up about his knee injury.

Many, including former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler, have tapped Powerhouse Hobbs as a special performer. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old's momentum was stalled by a knee injury in April of this year.

Hobbs returned to action two weeks ago as Ricochet's surprise tag team partner against The Don Callis Family's Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita. In a recent interview with Uproxx, he described the struggles he went through while injured:

"I probably had a few days to be in my feelings and soak everything in," Hobbs said. "But my main objective was to come back better than when I left. This recovery, I would get up at five, eat, in the gym by six on one leg for two hours, come home, eat, then off to PT for three hours a day, Monday through Saturday."

Hobbs also described feeling helpless, as he was unable to bend his knee early in the recovery process. He revealed that he had to ask his young daughter to help him take his socks off while his son had to help him stand.

Powerhouse Hobbs is ready for a major challenge on AEW Dynamite

After recovering from his knee injury, Powerhouse Hobbs seems energized and ready for a fight. He and Ricochet won their match against The Don Callis Family two weeks ago, and the 33-year-old is set for another major bout tomorrow night on AEW Dynamite.

The former TNT Champion will join Will Ospreay, Ricochet, and Mark Davis to take on The Don Callis Family's Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Lance Archer, and Brian Cage.

Hobbs is ready for all-out war, and he expressed as much on his official X/Twitter account:

"Going to MFn War," he wrote.

This might be the time for Powerhouse Hobbs to rise through the ranks, but he'll also have to be careful. While Jon Moxley and his Death Riders are running wild on AEW television, The Hurt Syndicate is also lurking in the background, and MVP may try to ensnare the 33-year-old in his web.
