A former AEW TNT Champion passed out after receiving a dangerous move at Worlds End 2024. The star also failed to win his first pay-per-view match in several months.
The top AEW star in question is Powerhouse Hobbs. He recently made his return after over six months of absence. The former TNT Champion has been feuding with The Don Callis Family after he revealed that his contract with the group is over. Hobbs challenged Konosuke Takeshita for the International Championship at Worlds End.
The International Title match between Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs featured several hard-hitting moves and some crazy spots. At the end of an amazing bout, Takeshita forced Hobbs to pass out with a guillotine choke and immediately followed it up with a Raging Fire to secure the win.
This was Powerhouse Hobbs' first pay-per-view match since AEW Revolution earlier this year. It was also Hobbs' first pay-per-view singles bout since All Out 2023. Hobbs suffered a huge setback in his feud with The Don Callis Family due to his defeat to Konosuke Takeshita.
Only time will tell whether Hobbs continues his rivalry with the Don Callis-led faction or moves on to something else.
