A top AEW star has recalled an incident involving Vince McMahon. He narrated how the former WWE Chairman once yelled at him.
Shelton Benjamin made a name for himself during his initial years in WWE as part of Team Angle with Charlie Haas. Together, they helped Kurt Angle gain an advantage in his matches.
During his first stint with WWE, The Gold Standard encountered an MMA fighter named Daniel Puder. In 2004, Puder won WWE Tough Enough. He also gained popularity by nearly submitting Kurt Angle in a live segment.
During a practice session, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas were shoot wrestling when the latter faked a takedown and exited the ring. Puder then entered the squared circle to mix it up with Benjamin. The former two-time All-American was eager to test Puder's skills and began to dominate him in the ring.

In a recent interview with Gabby AF, Shelton Benjamin recalled the practice session and disclosed that Vince McMahon yelled at him for shoot wrestling Puder.
"Puder gets in. When he gets in, my first thought was, a lot of people were intimidated by Puder because he almost tapped out Kurt. I’m fresh off Team Angle, ‘I want to know what you can do anyway.’ He gets in there, and I start rag-dolling him. Boom, boom, boom. At one point, I threw him so hard, [that] when he hit the mat, it sounded like a bomb went off. Vince turns out, ‘That’s enough of that. That’s enough of that shoot s**t. Learn to work, damnit.’ That was the only time he yelled at us." [H/T: Fightful]
AEW star Shelton Benjamin gives his honest thoughts on Vince McMahon's documentary
Netflix recently released a six-episode docuseries on Vince McMahon's life and career. The documentary raised many eyebrows as it provided an inside look into how one of the most controversial figures in professional wrestling operated backstage.
During the same chat with Gabby AF, Shelton Benjamin opened up about the Vince McMahon documentary saying it didn't shock him.
“I watched it, and I didn’t see anything that shocked me. I didn’t see anything that, for me, was, uh, unknown. Like, you know, most of the stories and things people talked about, there was nothing there that I personally found, uh, shocking as far as the stories or anything like that. Now, you start getting into the intimate details—well, I don’t want to get into that messy stuff, because, hey, what people do behind closed doors, right?" [H/T: Ringside News]
Shelton Benjamin recently joined AEW and made his in-ring debut with a win over Lio Rush. He has instantly become a top name in the promotion by targeting former world champion Swerve Strickland.
