Earlier today, it was reported that Ricochet could be on his way out of WWE. A major AEW star has seemingly called him out, warning him about jumping ship. The name being discussed here is Swerve Strickland.

A report from PWInsider recently indicated that the WWE Superstar had given a notice to the company, saying that he would be departing once his current contract expires. It was also reported that the promotion would now begin writing him off TV after he informed the management of his intention to leave. Ricochet recently lost the Speed Championship, which fueled rumors of his exit.

Amid widespread speculation about The Human Highlight Reel's future, Swerve Strickland took to X/Twitter to seemingly issue a warning to the former. The AEW World Champion mentioned how he'd give a hard time to any competitor who showed up in the Tony Khan-led company.

"U come here I'm giving u hell," Strickland tweeted.

Strickland also posted a follow-up tweet, seemingly reiterating how serious he was about giving the high-flyer a hard time if they ever locked horns in the future.

Another major AEW name is looking forward to Ricochet potentially leaving WWE

A few weeks ago, Will Ospreay opened up about the former United States Champion's WWE booking. The two worked with each other on several occasions in NJPW and other independent promotions.

During an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com, The Aerial Assassin revealed how he closely followed Ricochet's career. Ospreay wished to remind people how great the RAW Superstar is inside the ring. He further mentioned that most modern-day high-flyers took inspiration from The Human Highlight Reel and PAC.

"I keep up with him all the time, and sometimes I get a little bit sad about it. I hope he's not sad and I hope he's real happy. I keep up with him as much as I can, but I feel like people are forgetting who Ricochet was once upon a time. All of these high-flyers that you see, and myself included, we all took inspiration from Pac and Ricochet," said Ospreay.

At this point, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the WWE Superstar. If the former United States Champion eventually joins AEW, he can have several dream matches.
