AEW fans and wrestlers are buzzing in a major way over the highly anticipated arrival of Bobby Lashley. The former WWE and Bellator MMA talent is expected to debut any time now, which will open the door to several potential first-time-ever dream matches. A top AEW star has just issued remarks on Lashley ahead of his debut.
The All-Mighty recently left WWE when his contract expired, at the same time Montel Vontavious Porter departed the company. MVP has already debuted, along with Shelton Benjamin, and now Lashley is set to complete the trio known as The Hurt Syndicate. A backstage report on nixed Lashley plans and his AEW status recently leaked from within the company, fueling the rumors coming out of WrestleDream.
The House of Black is one of many potential rivalries for The Hurt Syndicate in All Elite Wrestling. Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter on WrestleBinge, Brody King was asked if he's ever had any run-ins or contact with Lashley. The 37-year-old King said he's looking forward to a potential in-ring showdown with the 48-year-old Lashley:
"I've never met him, I've never had any contact with him, but I'm looking forward to maybe one day standing across the ring from him. You know, I'm never scared of a big challenge," Brody King said. [From 8:45 to 8:55]
Apter praised The God Of Thunder as an amazing athlete and asked King how he would approach a match against the pro wrestler with a 15-2 MMA record:
"Hit him first, and hit him hard. You know what I mean?," Brody King said. [From 9:09 to 9:11]lash
Big Bad and The Dominator have never wrestled each other, but Lashley has faced King's stablemate Malakai Black once. The House of Black leader defeated the former leader of The Pride in seven minutes during Night Two of WWE WrestleMania 36. This was during Lashley's storyline with Lana.
