Top WWE RAW Superstar namedropped during AEW Dynasty media scrum

A top AEW star and champion surprisingly mentioned a former WWE world champion during the Dynasty PPV's post-show media scrum and declared him one of his friends and biggest inspirations.

The top WWE RAW Superstar in question is The New Day member, Kofi Kingston. At the most recent AEW Dynasty pay-per-view, Swerve Strickland finally captured the All Elite World Championship in a hard-hitting match against Samoa Joe. Swerve also became the first African-American to become the AEW World Champion.

After his incredible title win, Swerve Strickland opened the post-show media scrum as well. During the scrum, Swerve mentioned former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, and how he has been a friend and biggest inspiration for the past five years, saying Kofi motivated the next generation to achieve what he achieved.

Meanwhile, as the new AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland has a lot to look forward to, and considering his talent, he has tons of potential to be a great champion.

Strickland could also be a great representative of Tony Khan's promotion as the first African-American world champion. Henceforth, only time will tell what the company has in store for Swerve after he became the new champion.
