Following Bryan Danielson's victory just moments ago, Christian Cage immediately came out to cash in on his title, but his plans were suddenly thwarted. This happened at the hands of Kip Sabian.

For a few weeks now, Sabian has been a thorn in the side of The Patriarchy, specifically with Nick Wayne. Just this past week on Rampage, Wayne stole a victory from Sabian. Christian has already confronted the British star about going after his "son" and threatened to beat him down.
Following the opening contest between Bryan and Nigel McGuinness, Christian Cage came out with his AEW World Title opportunity contract in hand. But just as he was about to sign this, Kip appeared out of nowhere to grab his pen and run with it backstage. Cage quickly chased after him.

As he ran through the entrance tunnels, he ran into PAC and Claudio Castagnoli, who were watching intently. It remains to be seen whether they'll make their presence known later in the night.
Bryan Danielson can leave New York City tonight as the world champion, but he'll still need to be on the lookout for a potential cash-in in the coming weeks or months. The target on his back is bigger than ever.

Enzo is a Pro Wrestling journalist at Sportskeeda, reporting on AEW. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Studies, which influenced his decision of taking up sports writing professionally, and has been an avid fan of the athletic theater since childhood. He believes readers deserve authentic and unique content and aims to report in a manner which pro wrestling fans can easily relate to.
Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
Other than pro wrestling, Enzo enjoys keeping up with Basketball, Football, and Formula One. He also loves watching films, playing video games, and listening to music.
