An AEW star was involved in a huge altercation backstage against a 27-year-old talent. The stars being discussed are Kenny Omega and Gabe Kidd.
The former World Champion has been absent from the Jacksonville-based promotion since December 2023. He made an appearance on Dynamite in May 2024 but was stretchered out of the arena after being ambushed by the Elite.
The Best Bout Machine returned to NJPW show Power Struggle after recovering from surgery. He cut a promo and claimed he wanted to face a rising star from the locker room. Following the segment, Strong Openweight Champion Kidd and Kenny were involved in a huge backstage brawl, and only pictures on social media circulated. Later, NJPW issued an apology to Kenny Omega.
Days after the shocking incident, Fightful obtained footage of the backstage incident. From this angle, it's visible that the duo briefly argued before they started throwing hands at each other.

AEW star Kenny Omega took a shot at CM Punk following the backstage brawl
The Cleaner was involved in a huge backstage confrontation between the Elite and CM Punk following the 2022 All Out pay-per-view. Also, the latter reportedly tried to choke Jack Perry during the 2023 All In event.
While speaking with Tokyo Sports, Kenny Omega took a subtle jab at the Second City Saint, claiming Gabe Kidd was unprofessional, similar to CM Punk.
"He suddenly pushed me and took a fighting stance. I immediately remembered the incident that happened in AEW. I won't say his name, but I thought that Gabe was unfit to be a professional, just like that guy. He said a lot of bad things about AEW, but that's irrelevant now. For now, I can't trust Gabe," he said.
Gabe and Kenny will probably clash at the Wrestle Dynasty show in January 2025.
