An up-and-coming AEW star who debuted in the women's division earlier this year recently opened up about her issues with Mercedes Mone. Kamille, the talent in question, has been a popular topic of discussion lately owing to her recent booking in the Tony Khan-led company.
Despite her initial presentation as the former Sasha Banks' imposing bodyguard, Kamille was continuously berated. Mercedes questioned her credibility as they struggled to take out the latter's TBS Title contender, Kris Statlander, heading into AEW Full Gear 2024.
After The CEO successfully defended her belt at the pay-per-view, with Kamille watching from the back as per her orders, Mone insulted The Brickhouse again, seemingly poised to fire her, on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite. However, the 32-year-old star cut Mercedes off and stood up for herself, quitting the latter's employ and walking out of the show.
During a recent interview with Covalent TV, Kamille addressed Mercedes Mone's presumably storyline misbehavior toward her and elaborated on breaking her alliance with the NJPW Strong Women's Champion.

“I was brought up very respectfully; if you don’t got something nice to say, just don’t say anything. So, I’ve been holding my tongue, holding my tongue, but I’ve had enough. I’ve had enough. I had to give her a little piece of my mind, give her the line back that she’s been giving me so often, but instead of being physical, which she might have deserved, I walked away. So now I'm kind of regrouping, replanning what's gonna happen," said Kamille. [2:42 - 3:09]
Unfortunately, Kamille appeared to suffer severe repercussions for walking out on her associate later that week.
Update on the status of Kamille's feud with Mercedes Mone in AEW
Late last month on AEW Rampage, Kamille was found laid out backstage amidst steel chairs and other possible weapons. Mercedes Mone's response to the ambush seemingly hints at The Boss possibly being the assailant herself, which could lead to a match between her and the former NWA World Women's Champion.
However, a recent report has seemingly raised doubts regarding the prospects of Kamille appearing on AEW programming moving forward.
