A former WWE veteran shared his thoughts on the recent AEW departure of CJ Perry (fka Lana). The veteran also reflected on Perry's run in Tony Khan's promotion last year.
CJ Perry (fka Lana) made her AEW debut at the All Out 2023 pay-per-view but had not been on TV since the Worlds End PPV in December last year. Perry is no longer with Tony Khan's promotion as she recently announced her departure. The former WWE star in question, Dutch Mantell (fka Zeb Colter) also gave his thoughts on Perry leaving AEW after months with the promotion.
Speaking on his Story Time podcast recently, Mantell stated the following regarding Perry's run and exit from Tony Khan's promotion:
"Useless, completely useless, she showed up over there and Miro... and they showed up over there and nobody missed them gone at all. I didn't even until I read about it, and even when they got there. This is what AEW does, if you're going to bring somebody over, do something with them. I mean get them involved in something, but that's what Tony does. He would think just the name value would draw a house, and you know he'd do something with them on TV, that's not booking." [3:46-4:38]
