WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman recently took a massive shot at AEW while reacting to Mercedes Mone's recent tweet about the Boston Celtics' victory. Coachman is currently a sports analyst. However, he became a popular name during his tenure with the Sports Entertainment juggernaut in the early 2000s.
Last night, the AEW TBS Champion attended the NBA playoffs final between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks. Later, Mercedes Mone shared a selfie on Twitter (X), revealing that she was at the courtside for the game. The Celtics went on to defeat the Mavericks to become NBA Champions for the first time since 2008.
On his X (Twitter) account, the former RAW commentator took a major shot at All Elite Wrestling's attendance by pointing out that Mercedes Mone was present in a sold-out arena to remind herself what a full arena felt like.
"This is great. It’s good for Mercedes [Mone] to remind herself what a full arena and cheers actually feels like. [come on I had to]. Tune in to @BehindTheBuckle this week as we launch a second show with @btt_tommyc and myself and debate the biggest topics in pro wrestling. We drop on Fridays," he wrote.

Bayley is excited about Mercedes Mone's future in AEW
Mercedes Mone was known as Sasha Banks in WWE and spent 10 years in the promotion. The Boss left the company in 2022 following a creative dispute and went on to have a great run in NJPW. She recently signed with AEW and won the TBS Championship in her maiden outing for Tony Khan's promotion.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo, WWE Women's Champion Bayley revealed that she missed Mercedes in the Stamford-based promotion.
"I'm so excited to see [Mercedes Mone] take this to the next level, as much as I miss having her here. Wrestling to me still feels weird without her, but it's like I have her in a different way where I can tell her what's going on here, and what I need help with, and what I'm trying to do to make it better over here, and the same goes for her. So, it's kind of nice that we are able to help and grow in two different companies and separately. So, I think in a way it's kind of better, you know," she said. [From 03:09 to 03:38]
Meanwhile, Bayley successfully defended her WWE Women's Championship against Piper Niven at Clash at the Castle PLE. Mercedes Mone, on the other hand, will lock horns with NJPW Strong Women's Champion Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All Match at Forbidden Door 2024.
