Vince Russo tells Tony Khan to make a WWE legend AEW's head booker: "Give him the book for six months" (Exclusive)

A WWE legend should take over as AEW's head booker according to Vince Russo. Tony Khan is the current head booker of All Elite Wrestling but Russo wants Jeff Jarrett to replace him.

Tony Khan has a lot of names like Sonjay Dutt, Dean Malenko, QT Marshall, and others who help him in the creative aspect of AEW. However, Khan still gets dragged around for his booking and does not listen to the advice veterans give him.

Speaking in the recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo podcast, Vince Russo said that Jeff Jarrett should take over as the head booker of AEW and encouraged Tony Khan to hand him the ball for six months. He also recalled Jeff's run as the head of creative in TNA and how he had the final say in all the storylines.

"Double J was involved a lot creatively with TNA. You know, like, bro, I was the head writer. But Jeff had to approve everything. It was Jeff's company, you know, until the Karen, Jeff, and Kurt thing happened. But up until that point, it was Jeff's company. Jeff was in on every creative meeting and Jeff was the one that have final say. So I swear, man, if I'm Tony Khan, give freaking Jeff the book for six months. Just say, you know, Jeff, I know you did this. You know, you ran TNA, What does he have to lose at this point? that's what I would do. Jeff, six months, man. Jeff Jarrett on possibly transitioning to commentary in AEW

Jeff Jarrett is an active competitor in AEW. However, the veteran was recently asked about possibly taking a career as a commentator once he retires from in-ring competition.

In a recent edition of his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett stated that doing commentary would be a bonus to his career. He explained how he loves being a part of the Zero Hour panel and would potentially have fun doing commentary in the future.

"When the time [comes], if it ever, that would be a bonus to the career. Yeah, prior to Spokane and me doing that one episode of Dynamite and Rampage, I would have said zero chance. You never know, I’ll just sit back and have fun with it. I love being part of the Zero Hour panel."

The fans will have to wait and see if Jeff Jarrett becomes a commentator after his retirement.
