A top AEW star has been blindsided and attacked at a recent wrestling event by a surprising individual, potentially hinting at a future feud between them. The star in question would be QT Marshall.
Currently, Marshall has not been featured onscreen for the Tony Khan-led promotion, but he still holds a position as the Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination. He has been competing in the ring instead on the independent circuit.
During his appearance at CCW's Bash at the Brew event earlier tonight, QT Marshall was suddenly ambushed by A.J. Befumo, one-half of The Costco Boys, who are popular social media icons. He was hit by a Powerbomb. Befumo and his son Eric (aka Big Justice) have created a huge fan following on several social media platforms.
"Bringing Back The BOOM!💥 wrestlng #father #son #family #fun #bigjustice #boom @AEW @CCWAliveTV" he posted.
Befumo announced that they had signed a contract with AEW and that he would be competing in one more match. They were also invited to tonight's CCW event.
The social media stars' AEW opponent was recently revealed
Yesterday, The Costco Boys had their contract signing. QT Marshall represented the promotion during the signing.
This contract signing confirmed AJ's match for the promotion. Marshall revealed during their meeting that since he held a position within the company, he had the right to choose his opponent.
He revealed that he would be the one to participate in the match. He claimed that he wished to embarrass him in front of his son. QT also got physical as he flipped a tray of cookies right in their way.
Those occurrences may have been Befumo's reason for jumping on QT Marshall at tonight's show. It remains to be seen when the two will clash, but as early as now, tensions seem to be getting hotter between both sides.
