Bryan Danielson retained his AEW World Championship last night on Dynamite. Meanwhile, the veteran seemingly paid tribute to WWE Superstar Seth Rollins after the show went off-air.
AEW presented the fifth-anniversary special edition of Dynamite last night. The show was headlined by the World Title vs. Continental Title match between Byran Danielson and Kazuchika Okada. The Rainmaker's Continental Championship was on the line for the first 20 minutes of the match. Despite failing to capture the Continental Title, Bryan Danielson defeated Okada to retain his gold.
After the show went off-air, the former WWE Superstar addressed the crowd and also did a surprising taunt with his title. The American Dragon swung the belt over his head, the same way Seth Rollins does to celebrate his championship victories.

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson name-drops WWE after last night's Dynamite
After Dynamite went off-air last night, Bryan Danielson spoke to fans in attendance. The American Dragon thanked the Pittsburgh crowd for playing their role in his becoming a WrestleMania headliner.
The reigning AEW World Champion also expressed gratitude towards the All Elite locker room for making him leave his "lifetime job" in the Stamford-based promotion and sign with Tony Khan's company.
"I don't know if you guys remember, but you were the crowd that made me into a WrestleMania main-eventer. So, I just wanted to say, 'Thank you, Pittsburgh!' Last but certainly not least, I wanted to thank all the men and the women in the back. Because they're the ones who made this place so great that I had a lifetime job at WWE, and I chose, I chose to come here because there were the best wrestlers in the world, the best fans in the world, and this is the best wrestling company in the world," he said.
