Fans believe Drew McIntyre's recent actions will harm his current WWE run. He is currently feuding with CM Punk and will face him at SummerSlam.
The former AEW World Champion signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2021 and had great feuds with top stars. Things took a turn at last year's All In when Punk and Jack Perry were involved in a backstage altercation. Days after the incident, the Second City Saint was fired from AEW, while Perry was suspended from the promotion.
The Voice of the Voiceless returned to WWE in November 2023 and started a feud with Seth Rollins. Despite being sidelined due to injuries, he initiated a rivalry with Drew McIntyre. Now that Punk is cleared to wrestle, the duo are set to square off at the 2024 SummerSlam, with Rollins being the special guest referee.
Throughout the feud with CM Punk, Drew has made multiple references to his AEW run. Recently, the Scottish Warrior shared a picture with Jack Perry, taking a shot at CM Punk as the latter has real-life heat with the AEW star. Shortly after, he deleted the controversial tweet.
Fans believe McIntyre's tweet breaking the fourth wall could cost him his match with CM Punk at SummerSlam.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo claimed that The Visionary would cost CM Punk the contest to set up their future feud.
"I think Seth is gonna scr*w CM Punk and that’s how…[we get Rollins vs. Punk]. But what are we gonna do with the singalong then? How are we not gonna have the singalong if Seth is a heel?" he said.
It will be interesting to see if WWE CCO Triple H buries the Scottish Warrior for sharing a photo with Jack Perry.
