A former WWE Superstar got emotional while talking about the end of her tour in Japan. The star wrestled her last match of the tour recently.
Former WWE Superstar Athena (fka Ember Moon) has been enjoying her tour to Japan since the beginning of 2025. The current ROH Women's World Champion wrestled multiple matches on the STARDOM promotion. She also competed in the four-way International Women's Cup match at Wrestle Dynasty in the Tokyo Dome where she failed to capture the accolade.
After her last match in STARDOM, where she teamed with STARS to defeat the HATE faction in a multi-person match, Athena got emotional. During a post-match promo at the New Year Stars event, The ROH Women's World Champion broke down in tears admitting that she is sad to leave Japan.
"I am very sad to go because I love Japan and I love STARDOM. It's very difficult for me to leave because I've had so much fun here and it has reawaken my passion not only as a fighting Champion but as a wrestler who's been doing this for almost twenty years. And normally in America, no one sees me cry, never, I'm tough but this is very special, this is my dream and I finally got to come here." [0:44-1:21]

The former WWE Superstar is also hopeful to be back in the Japanese promotion, STARDOM, as she emotionally thanked the fans and the women she wrestled.
"Hopefully, I can comeback and compete in front of the most amazing fans with the most amazing women from around the World. So STARDOM, you'll see me again, the fallen Goddess, the American Joshi, the minion overlord, the inspiration to every women today. But most importantly today, I finally lived up to my nickname of 'The American Joshi.' Thankyou STARDOM, thankyou everyone, I'll see you again soon." [1:22-1:53]
Athena continues her reign as the ROH Women's World Champion, a title she has held for over two years now. Only time will tell if she will be on AEW TV again.
