Kenny Omega made a thunderous return to AEW on the January 8 edition of Dynamite. The Cleaner's heartfelt address was interrupted by the chaos that followed, but he completed his heartfelt interaction after the show went off the air.

During the show, Kenny Omega reflected on the hardships he faced after being diagnosed with diverticulitis last year and his long journey back to the ring. The Cleaner then found himself attacked by The Don Callis Family, but an unlikely assistance from an old rival, Will Ospreay, helped him to fend off the attack.

After AEW Dynamite went off the air, Kenny Omega once again grabbed the microphone to continue the interaction with the fans who had waited for his return for months. Omega emphasized the strong conviction that one should have to overcome obstacles, something he did to get back in the ring. But he also stressed the importance of advice given by doctors who look out for the well-being of people.

“I don’t want the message of the day to be, ‘Do not listen to your doctors.’ That’s maybe the wrong advice to give,” Omega shared. “But what I will say is that if you have strong conviction, if you have a strong belief in your heart, in your mind, that you can do something, trust me when I say, that if you really, truly give it your all, you can accomplish whatever it is that you set your mind to.”

The Best Bout Machine also added that professional wrestling in 2025 was thriving and taking over the world.

"I’m just happy to watch professional wrestling, and in the year 2025, oh my goodness, is professional wrestling ever thriving. So no matter how you guys choose to consume it, professional wrestling is alive and well, and boy, it’s taking over the world.”

Finally, Kenny Omega concluded his statement by proclaiming that he wanted to be at the forefront of the wrestling movement while also hyping his return to the ring next week against Brian Cage.

“If I have my say, if I have any power at all over my person, if I can be even a sliver of what I used to be, I want to be at the forefront of that movement. (...) So next week, I will be back in an AEW ring, and moving forward, I would love to absolutely be in the ring performing in front of all you guys.” [00:05 - 01:48]

With The Cleaner back and seemingly better than ever, it will be interesting to see the resurgence of Kenny Omega in AEW.
