Will Ospreay suffered a crushing defeat at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024. Following this loss, he lost his cool with backstage personnel.
Will Ospreay is one of the most entertaining professional wrestlers in the world who is known for his high-flying ability, earning him the moniker Aerial Assassin. Last year, Ospreay excited a lot of fans when he announced that he was signing with AEW. Since then, he has quickly risen through the ranks to become the AEW International Champion.
Ospreay went a step further and earned himself a World Title shot against Swerve Strickland at AEW Forbidden Door. After a hard-fought battle, it was Swerve who came away with the win. Considering that Ospreay dedicated this win to his grandmother who had recently passed away, he was visibly upset after the loss. When AEW cameras caught up with him, he lost his cool with them and asked them to leave:
”Can you get out of here please? Can you get out of here? ”

Will Ospreay said that AJ Styles influenced his career
During the rise of TNA, there was one guy who stood head and shoulders above everyone on the roster - AJ Styles. He brought a unique style of action that captivated audiences and influenced the next generation of stars including Will Ospreay.
During a recent interview with SHAK Wrestling, Ospreay mentioned how he was influenced by the Phenomenal One and he hopes to do the same for the next generation of wrestlers:
"AJ gave me so much and he was complimentary and has opened the doorways to allow me to not only make a lot of money but to inspire the next generation. I'm extremely grateful for that and I'm so just thankful that I can be in a position where so many guys have come up to me and said, 'You're the reason I got into wrestling.'"
It will be interesting to see what will be next in store for Will Ospreay following this heartbreaking loss to Swerve Strickland.
