A WCW veteran recently spoke about AEW star Adam Copeland's unfortunate injury and revealed whether the veteran should hang up his boots. The veteran is none other than Konnan.

A couple of weeks ago at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event, The Rated R Superstar went to war with Malakai Black to defend his AEW TNT Championship inside a Barbed Wire Steel Cage. Copeland fractured his tibia after jumping off the cage on Black and landing on his feet.

The former WWE star was stripped of his championship on the post-Double or Nothing Dynamite as he faces time on the shelf to recover from his injury. Speaking on the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan stated that Adam Copeland should not retire.

The WCW veteran further highlighted that the Rated R Superstar should just stop doing some of the risky maneuvers and gave an example of legendary wrestler Psicosis. The latter had spoken up about his aging body being unable to handle certain high-risk moves and that Copeland should do the same.

Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE

"He shouldn't retire I mean, he just shouldn't do those things. If you're gonna do a garbage match I remember one time Psicosis who was really beat up. He was like 'Hey man, don't put me in Hardcore matches anymore because my body can't take it anymore. I go, 'Nicho, you're a legend. Put them through the table not you,'" stated Konnan. AEW star Adam Copeland provided an update on his injury after surgery

Adam Copeland posted a video after his injury in which the veteran confirmed to have suffered a broken tibia. The Rated R Superstar has now undergone successful surgery and recently provided an update on his surgery on the Busted Open Radio.

The AEW star confirmed that he had already undergone a successful surgery however, there were some complications during the procedure. The cartilage between the tibia and fibula got crushed and had to be put back together with plates and screws.

“I had the surgery on Monday, and it was a success. I guess it got a little complicated just because of where the break is. It’s kind of right above the ankle joint, which is called a peon fracture, apparently. So the cartilage between your ankle and your tibia and fibula got squished, and then the break. I guess there were shards of it too, so they had to try and compact it all with the plate and the screws," Copeland said.
