A wrestling veteran recently spoke up on AEW’s new deal with WBD and had some really interesting things about the same. This may even come as a shock to some of the fans.
Tony Khan recently put pen to paper on a multi-year multimedia rights deal with Warner Bros that will see AEW be telecast on TBS and TNT. The deal is reportedly expected to be valued upward of 150 million dollars. Konnan, who is a known critic of the company, had some good things to say but also threw in a little jibe.
The WCW veteran was speaking on his K100 podcast when he congratulated Tony Khan on the deal and also said that he doesn't want them to get canceled.
"Congratulations on getting three more years. Obviously, that will never, ever be printed, dare anyone to. We don't want you to get canceled. Like I said, we just want the show to get better by explaining who are these Japanese and Mexican wrestlers," he said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

Konnan praises AEW star MJF
MJF is a big name in AEW and he showed up at WrestleDream only to be confronted by the returning Adam Cole. It seems like heel MJF is well and truly back in the company.
Konnan has now revealed that he thinks highly of MJF and that the numbers don't lie when he is there on a show and how the ratings go up. He was once again speaking on an earlier episode of his K100 podcast when he said:
"Bro, the numbers have proven, we actually put the numbers on the screen every week and he's always the highest-rated segment or 90 percent of the time, right? So, you can't say he's not a draw. He's the most entertaining guy on that roster. He's the best on the mic and not only that, he can go, he's had a lot of good matches."
MJF is certainly a draw and attracts a lot of fans to watch AEW shows when he does indeed show up.
