Vince McMahon is often known for being a controversial person backstage. He once mocked an AEW personality backstage. A WWE veteran recalled the incident.
Before joining AEW, Jim Ross served as a commentator for WWE for several years. During this time with the Stamford-based company, he took on many backstage roles in the promotion and was a prominent figure in the industry. JR remains one of the most beloved names in the world of professional wrestling.
Jim Ross has had his fair share of health issues over the years and has found himself in and out of the hospital several times. One of the conditions that has affected him throughout his career is Bell's palsy which causes paralysis of the facial muscles. Ross had three attacks in 1994, 1998, and 2010 respectively. The third incident was more severe and caused significant vision issues.
Although Bell's palsy is a severe medical condition, Vince McMahon thought it would be funny to imitate his employee's condition. Vince Russo on his podcast The Brand, recalled that once during a meeting JR asked a question and McMahon responded by making fun of the AEW commentator's condition by imitating him. Russo wasn't amused by his boss' actions and let him know.
"So, we're doing the meeting and JR asks a question. I swear. Bro, if I'm making this up somebody needs to put me in an insane asylum in a straight jacket for me to have an imagination. [...] JR asks a question. I'm not kidding you. He's in the front row. He's six feet from us. So, Vince says to JR, 'Hold on JR, let me have a sidebar with Vince about that.' Bro, the dude's sitting like right here. He turns to me. He puts the notepad in front of his face and he does this to me [mocks JR]...making fun of JR's Bell's palsy in a room full of people. [...] I looked at him and I literally said, 'What the f is wrong with you?' I didn't know what else to....like you can't...like I'm not gonna laugh at that," he said. [4:10 - 5:24]

Dijak reveals what it was like working under Vince McMahon
Throughout Vince McMahon's career, he has worked with several superstars. While McMahon made many stars, he also broke several. Therefore a lot of people have different perspectives of Vince and his way of doing things. Several wrestlers have mentioned what it was like to work with the former WWE Chairman.
Speaking on the SHAK Wrestling podcast, Dijak who also worked with Vince McMahon during his time on the main roster noted that the latter was past his prime and struggled with making last-minute changes.
"I felt like Vince was probably past his prime when I was, you know, underneath him and there was a lot of difficulty in terms of timing and adjusting things at the last minute," Dijak said.
It is great to see that Jim Ross still manages to do commentary for All Elite Wrestling on their PPVs, despite his recent health struggles.
