Chris Jericho had an embarrassing moment in his latest match in AEW. A wrestling legend took this opportunity to mock him.
Jim Cornette was the latest to comment on Chris Jericho's recent match. Jericho is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He has been involved in the industry for several decades now, constantly evolving with the times which has helped keep him relevant. Even at the age of 54, Jericho is still able to deliver standout performances in the ring. However, his most recent match in the Jacksonville-based promotion has come under criticism.
This week on AEW Collision, Chris Jericho faced off against Dax Harwood. The match was going smoothly until the closing sequence left many fans baffled. The ROH World Champion tried to slowly hit Dax with his title belt but was countered and slammed to the mat. While Harwood was busy climbing the turnbuckle, Jericho tried to attack the referee but it looked more like he just slightly pushed him to the side.
The whole thing was done so that Jericho could hit Dax with the title but when the latter dived onto him, the strap slipped out of the former's hand and the move looked sloppy. Jericho ended up winning the match after another shot with the belt followed by the Judas Effect. Jim Cornette took to X (fka Twitter) to demand an explanation for what transpired during the match.
"Can someone with experience in pro wrestling tell ME what was supposed to be going on here????" wrote Cornette.

Disco Inferno believes Chris Jericho is better than CM Punk
There is always debate in professional wrestling regarding who is the best wrestler of all time. Several names often get thrown into this hat. Two men who are always ranked as some of the best to ever compete in the ring are Chris Jericho and CM Punk. Both have very different career trajectories and personalities, which makes this an odd comparison but given their current age, people can't help but compare them to each other.
During a recent edition of the Keepin' It 100 Official podcast, a fan posted a question asking who was better between Jericho and Punk. Disco Inferno replied that Jericho was better presently, given his varied body of work, and that he was a major star everywhere he went, while Punk was a big deal in only ROH and WWE. However, he noted that The Best in the World was eight years junior to the 54-year-old and still had time to overtake the veteran.
"As it stands right now with Chris Jericho but if Punk has another eight years in him at this level that he's competing against, he'll probably overtake Jericho. But I would say Jericho....Both of them got over huge [in] WWE at certain points but Jericho got over in WCW and ECW and New Japan. Punk was just what Ring of Honor and WWE, right? So, I would say just based on that Jericho's body of work is a little more impressive and I know people are going to argue about this too," he said. [1:15 - 1:55]

It's unfortunate to see Chris Jericho, one of the best workers in the ring, be involved in such an embarrassing sequence. However, knowing him, the ROH World Champion will undoubtedly shake it off and move on.
