AEW President Tony Khan is no stranger to criticism from fans and wrestling veterans. Former WWE star and WCW veteran Konnan has also taken some huge jabs at Khan.

Tony Khan is the head booker of AEW. He has witnessed many ups and downs while presenting the company's product to wrestling fans. Many of Khan's decisions get huge praise, like the recently culminated Continental Classic Tournament, which saw Kazuchika Okada reign supreme. However, Konnan has pointed out some significant problems with Khan's booking.

On a recent edition of the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan spoke about Tony Khan's booking and AEW Dynamite averaging nearly 600k viewers every week. The WCW veteran claimed that he would've gotten fired in Mexico for such numbers and explained why Khan couldn't lose his position.

"Here's the thing, bro, If I lost those numbers in Mexico, they would fire me. No questions asked. But he's [Tony Khan] the owner. Who's gonna fire him? And that's his hobby." [12:35 - 12:49]

Mike Santana shares his thoughts on Tony Khan's AEW booking

Mike Santana was part of All Elite Wrestling for years. However, he left the company in 2024 and moved to TNA Wrestling. The former Inner Circle member recently addressed his experience working under Tony Khan.

In an interview with Tim Hann Rivera, Santana claimed that he wasn't getting enough opportunities to show his talent in All Elite Wrestling. He aired frustrations with how his character wasn't progressing in the company, which eventually led to his departure.

"If you're not progressing in this business, then you're dying. And that's with anything, any job. If you're not working to get a higher position or to progress in any way, then what are we doing here? And I've always said that my biggest thing was that I want to grow. I've always lived my life and every aspect where I'm chasing what's next. 'How are we going to grow? How are we going to continue building?' And it got to a point where it was like that wasn't happening, and we weren't getting those opportunities. And I just wasn't feeling that," said the former AEW star. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

We will have to wait and see what Tony Khan has in store for fans at Wrestle Dynasty in Tokyo, Japan.
