AEW signed Will Ospreay to a full-time contract earlier this year after the international superstar debuted in 2022. The 7-time NJPW champion has held championship gold and fought his longtime associates as of late, and now he's looking to secure a big win to close the year. Ahead of a major first-time-ever match, Ospreay has just issued a lengthy statement on his career and status.

The Aerial Assassin is more than 300 days into his run as a full-time All Elite wrestler. After being touted by Tony Khan himself, Ospreay became a two-time International Champion this year. The 31-year-old is now looking to win the Continental Classic at Worlds End as a top talent of the Gold League. He will face Darby Allin for the first time on tonight's Holiday Bash Dynamite.

Ospreay took to X today to issue a lengthy statement to the wrestling world. He expressed immense gratitude and opened up about a constant fear he deals with. Ospreay also touched on how lucky he feels, and ended the tweet with a message to supporters:

"Wanted to take this tweet to tell you all how extremely grateful I am being able to do the things that I do. I have a constant fear of letting you all down because I’ve done it so often. 'We all fail at the people we are meant to be' has followed me since I got my first deal. 31 years old from the Essex, England. I cannot believe how lucky I am to be in this position where I wrestle on @TBSNetwork / @tntsports for @AEW," Will Ospreay wrote.

The Commonwealth Kingpin continued:

"Whether you’re locked into our product or not I appreciate any feedback, criticism or support that can help me improve as a performer. In my feels today but you never know when you’ll take your last bump so I’d just like to say to you all. Thank you so much for being such a big part of my growth as a wrestler and as a man," Will Ospreay wrote.

Ospreay is currently tied for first place in the Gold League of the AEW Continental Classic, with Ricochet and Claudio Castagnoli. They have six points each, followed by Brody King and Darby Allin with three points each, and The Beast Mortos with zero.

Will Ospreay set for big AEW C2 matches

Will Ospreay has already had several marquee matches in his first year as a full-time AEW talent. The UK grappler is set for two more big one-on-one bouts as the Continental Classic comes to an end.

Tonight's Holiday Bash Dynamite will see Ospreay take on Darby Allin for the first time ever. This will be a C2 Gold League match, airing live from Washington, DC.
