AEW's sixth annual Double Or Nothing pay-per-view came amid the company's five-year anniversary. It was a big night for many on the roster, including Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland. The top star has just reached out to the WWE legend following his devastating announcement.

Ospreay opened up the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view by defeating Roderick Strong to become the new AEW International Champion. Copeland later retained his TNT Championship over Malakai Black in a bloody Barbed Wire Steel Cage match. The former Edge unfortunately announced a broken leg this morning, and he will be out of action for some time.

The Aerial Assassin took to X today to respond to Copeland's injury announcement. Ospreay praised the WWE Hall of Famer as a warrior, and promised everyone will be waiting for his return.

"F*****g warrior mate. Rest up and we will all be waiting for ya to come back my G," Will Ospreay wrote.

Despite a scary botch, Ospreay defeated Strong in just under 18 minutes on Sunday in the opening match to the main portion of the show. This was their second match ever as Will also defeated Roderick at PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 19 on May 25, 2015.

Will Ospreay issues statement ahead of AEW Forbidden Door

AEW and NJPW will present the third-annual Forbidden Door pay-per-view on Sunday, June 30, from the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.

Will Ospreay issued a bold statement following his International Championship win over Roderick Strong at Double Or Nothing, declaring that his title is now the key to the Forbidden Door.

Nothing has been announced, but it seems The Commonwealth Kingpin will have a big match at the pay-per-view. In the promo below, Ospreay issues a warning to the former champion and others.

Ospreay defeated Kenny Omega in a 40-minute match to capture the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at Forbidden Door 2023.

AEW has not announced any matches for the Forbidden Door card as of now. However, Wednesday's Dynamite will feature international stars in a Casino Gauntlet Match, with the winner going on to challenge World Champion Swerve Strickland at Forbidden Door.
