AEW Worlds End is the final pay-per-view of the promotion set to grace the industry this year, following what has been a great series of events put on by the company throughout 2024. Tony Khan has highlighted its importance by saying it will be the "end of an era."

Taking place on December 28, Worlds End is set to take place at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. This will feature several blockbuster matches, including the conclusion of this year's Continental Classic tournament (C2).

During the media call for ROH Final Battle happening this Friday, Tony Khan addressed all the upcoming events by AEW, including Worlds End and Fight for the Fallen a few days later. He mentioned that the pay-per-view is set to mark the end of an area, as they will be ushering in a new era, with the company set to begin their simulcast on MAX in 2025.

What matches have been announced for AEW Worlds End?

As of now, seven matches have been made official for the pay-per-view. With around 10 days to go, a lot can still happen and there could still be major changes to the match card for Worlds End.

The matches made official are as follows:

  • AEW World Championship four-way match: Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Jay White vs. 'Hangman' Adam Page
  • Mariah May vs. Thunder Rosa in a Tijuana Street Fight for the AEW Women's World Championship
  • Konosuke Takeshita vs. Powerhouse Hobbs for the International Championship
  • MJF vs. Adam Cole
  • Semi-finals and finals of the Continental Classic

For the C2, a new format has been announced for its semi-finals and finals. This year, all three of these matches will take place at Worlds End, contrary to last year where only the finals took place at the pay-per-view.

The Blue League winner will take on the Gold League's second placer and vice versa, with the winners of those matches advancing to the finals. As of now, Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada lead the Blue League while there is a three-way tie between Will Ospreay, Claudio Castagnoli, and Ricochet for the top spot in the Gold League.

Fans should stay tuned to find out which C2 matches will take place at Worlds End, and other potential blockbuster matches that could get added to the match card.
