A certain AEW veteran has clarified Bryan Danielson's status ahead of his possible appearance at Dynamite: Grand Slam next week. This was regarding whether he was fit for action or not.
Nigel McGuinness challenged Bryan to a match, which he claimed was long overdue. The main factor for this not pushing through was The American Dragon not being cleared for action following the attack from Jon Moxley at All Out.
Tonight, to close out Collision, Nigel took to the mic and gave his final words to Bryan Danielson. He once more claimed that the only reason why this match was still up in the air was because Bryan was faking the injury and avoiding sharing the ring with him.
He was interrupted in the middle of his promo by his commentary desk partner, Tony Schiavone. The veteran said that his claims were absurd, as his current health situation was what was holding him back, and cowardice was not the reason.
He then mentioned that in his five decades in the business, he believed Bryan Danielson was the best and that he was not the type to back out from a match because he was scared. He believed that if he was cleared, Danielson would be around.
Fans should tune in to Dynamite next week to find out whether Bryan ends up making an appearance and rekindles this rivalry.
