A top AEW star has been given a major task to prove himself worthy of joining a top faction. This would be defeating and hurting one of his closest allies. The star in question would be Rush.

Don Callis has been closely watching El Toro Blanco as he wants to recruit him to his family. However, he has not been satisfied with the luchador's performance lately, which has caused him to have doubts about his offer.

Tonight on Rampage, AEW aired an unaired backstage segment from Dynamite a few days ago as Don Callis approached Rush after his loss. The Attitude Era veteran was unhappy with his recent results, so he gave Rush one final chance to prove himself on Collision tomorrow against his friend Preston Vance.

Callis wanted him not only to be Vance but also to hurt him and send him to the hospital.

Preston Vance has not been seen on Tony Khan's promotion since January 13, 2024, when he faced off against Orange Cassidy during Battle of the Belts IX for the AEW International Championship.

Former AEW manager reveals plans for Rush and LFI before he was fired

Former manager of LFI Jose The Assistant revealed a few months ago that before he was released from the promotion, he was planning on collaborating with several actors to make a short film featuring his backstory and the reason for his affiliation with Rush.

He took to X/Twitter to reveal that they planned to take inspiration from the movie 1993 Blood In Blood Out. They had even enlisted the movie's lead actor to make a cameo during their project.

"I had written out the story, locked down film location and was SET to go meet with Damian Chapa in LA to get dates ready to film. If I didn’t get f***ing fired on April Fools Day the fans would have had a roughly 12 min short film with LFI/Blood in Blood out. @rushtoroblanco," he wrote.

Following Jose, The Assistant's departure from the company, there has not been a single peep from LFI. Rush returned as a singles star, and it seems he is closing in on joining the Don Callis Family.

This match between the luchador and Preston Vance could signify the end of his ties with the faction and its possible disbandment.
