The Hurt Syndicate is seemingly almost at full strength in AEW, with two of its members, MVP and Shelton Benjamin, having already appeared on the promotion's programming, and their stablemate Bobby Lashley reportedly poised to make his impending debut soon. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry believes that an All Elite talent is fated to join the dominant stable as well.
Powerhouse Hobbs has been missing from action since April this year when he unsuccessfully challenged Jon Moxley for his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The 270-lb star sustained an injury during the bout, which put him on the shelf for months, but according to recent reports, the former TNT Champion has been cleared for in-ring action.
On a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE legend Mark Henry argued that The Hurt Syndicate should enlist Powerhouse Hobbs within its ranks in light of the carnage unleashed by AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and The Blackpool Combat Club. He suggested that the promotion ought to book a major feud between the two top factions akin to the rivalry between The Nation of Domination and D-Generation X in WWE.
"I think that [Powerhouse] Hobbs is tailor made for the Hurt Syndicate. Recruit him, bring him in, and tell him 'Look, you might be facing one of us. We want to dominate the business, we want to corner the market. Let MVP talk that talk...You win, you lose some. You shake hands, the Hurt Syndicate keeps getting bigger.' They need to get bigger, because Jon Moxley and Claudio and Wheeler Yuta, they need to recruit. And then you can have a DX vs. the Nation type of a saga in AEW, which would be really good for business." [H/T Wrestling Inc]

AEW's Powerhouse Hobbs confirmed reports of being medically cleared
In an interview with In the Kliq earlier this month, Powerhouse Hobbs revealed that he had suffered a rupture in his patellar tendon, which kept him away from the squared circle for a considerable amount of time. The 33-year-old star also confirmed recent reports claiming he has been medically cleared.
"Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury," he said. "Me being me, I've been cleared. Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I'm cleared. I'm back. It's already been put out in the internet world that I'm cleared. Time to pick up where I left off." [H/T: Fightful]
It remains to be seen what AEW has in store for Hobbs and whether he will align himself with The Hurt Syndicate.
