For several months, speculations have persisted about Shane McMahon's likely debut on AEW. A WWE Hall of Famer has now shared his views about The Prodigal Son's potential move to the Tony Khan-led promotion.
Ever since the unexpected photograph of Shane McMahon's meeting with the All Elite head honcho found its way to the internet, wrestling viewers have been speculating on the possibility of the former WWE executive arriving in All Elite Wrestling. In fact, the company's top storyline at the moment - the Blackpool Combat Club and World Champion Jon Moxley's attempted takeover of AEW - has given rise to theories about Shane-O-Mac's potential involvement in the angle.
As conjecture continues to grow, WWE legend and former All Elite personality Mark Henry commented on the subject on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio. Henry claimed that Shane McMahon would be ideally suited to serve in a leadership position and direct talent with a firm hand in All Elite Wrestling.
"I think that Shane McMahon going and being that force would be a good idea," Henry said. "If you get paid $3-5 million to go in and tell everybody else what to do. 'You wanna work the indies? The f***in' indies are calling. You do what I tell you, or you're out of here. I'll bring somebody in here who can do your job just as good as you can.' ... That's what you need. AEW don't have that. There are no teeth. There's no power."

Dave Meltzer thinks Shane McMahon may be using AEW to work out a WWE return
Due to the circulation of rumors that Shane McMahon is potentially coming over to All Elite Wrestling, fans of the Jacksonville-based promotion and a few of its talent have spoken up on the topic.
However, on a recent edition of Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer suggested that the 54-year-old could leverage the buzz generated by the aforementioned speculations to negotiate a WWE comeback.
"I mean, obviously, Shane is clearly doing something. And again, I don't know what it is, but either he is angling to get back into WWE and using AEW as like telling them, 'I'll go there if you don't bring me in,'" said Meltzer.
Only time will tell whether Shane McMahon will shock the wrestling world and sign on with AEW in some capacity.
