Two WWE Hall of Famers have just given their thoughts on whether they believe that Shane McMahon can make his way to AEW in the near future. This would be JBL and Gerald Briscoe.

Shane O'Mac has been linked to the company for some time now, and the rumors only grew after he was spotted in a meeting with Tony Khan almost two months ago. Although they claim this was just a friendly conversation between two men in the same business, the speculation has continued.

During a Live Q&A by Sportskeeda Wrestling, the host, Joe Lowry, asked both icons about their thoughts. Gerald Briscoe began by talking about how Shane McMahon was one of the smartest guys in the business, but he believed he was a WWE lifer. He could not see this move happening.

"No, I don't. I think Shane O'Mac's one of the smartest guys in the business, and Shane always is a good man. He's a good person, and I think he's a lot like John and I; he's a lifer. But you never say never, but I just don't see it happening."

JBL had a similar response, as he could not see it happening. He mentioned how you can never rule out anything in the industry, as history has shown. But ultimately, he believed there was a low chance of this happening. The veteran admitted that he loved seeing the speculation around this.

"I feel the same about Shane; I love Shane from the moment I first met him; he's been incredibly good to me, and I have no idea what's going on. I don't see it happening, you know, but you know, I didn't see Hogan jumping WCW either. But it's crazy, this business you never know but I agree with Gerry, I can't see it happening. But you know what it is though, it's interesting seeing the pictures, I love the speculation," JBL said. [34:10-35:00]

Shane McMahon was recently spotted with some AEW stars

After being spotted with the likes of Tony Khan and Mercedes Moné, Shane McMahon was seen at the airport with another set of AEW names. This time, it was the Young Bucks.

The Bucks still serve as the company's EVPs, and it remains to be seen whether this meeting was purely coincidental. Matthew Jackson posted the picture they shared on Instagram.

"Interesting flight today," wrote Jackson.

With information hinting at a potential move by Shane McMahon to AEW continuing to surface, it remains to be seen whether this becomes a reality. Fans will have to stay tuned for further updates on the situation.
