A certain WWE Hall of Famer has just made a bold claim, noting that when all was said and done, he believed that he would never be able to work with Tony Khan in AEW. This would be Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley).
AEW has been heavily criticized by both fans and personalities in the industry alike due to the great dip in viewership and ratings of their recent weekly shows. Many feel that all this circles back to Khan, as he is listed as the company's head booker. It has been a belief of many that someone else should be in charge of booking the shows instead.
On a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray talked about possibly working with Tony Khan as the booker of AEW. He claimed that this would never happen, as TK would never be willing to give up that role of his, which the veteran claimed was a childhood dream.
"Could Bully Ray and Tony Khan work together? Or more specifically, could Bully Ray be the booker of AEW? That opportunity would never happen ... You're not taking the real-life hobby of Tony Khan, that has finally come to life, out of his hands," Ray remarked. "This kid grew up, became a man, has wanted to do this his entire life, and has the money to do it in any which way, shape or form he sees fit." [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

Eric Bischoff believes Bully Ray should replace Tony Khan in booking AEW
Last week, another WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he believed Bully Ray was the right person for the job to turn around AEW's creative side. This would be Eric Bischoff.
During an edition of his 83 Weeks podcast, he mentioned how Ray understood important aspects such as building up stories, and understanding the audience. He claimed that Tony Khan did not understand a thing about this.
"He sees the big picture, he understands story structure. When you listen to him talk about laying out a long-term story and the way to do it, you begin to hear it... He understands the wrestling audience... Bully understands the audience he's trying to entertain. Tony [Khan] doesn't understand the general audience, Tony understands very well one aspect of it." In the past 5 years of the company, there has been no hints on bringing in a potential replacement for Tony as head booker. But seeing as how their situation is dire, some fans feel the promotion should consider trying this out.
